This is a very interesting issue. As an educator, I am moving myself forward professionally, making connections with people around the world through my social networks.

I think in order to be taken seriously, I need a decent fairly professional photo for my Ed.Tech Twitter. However, my Facebook account where I am much more into my personal life has a variety of photos that I would say are less than professional. Not unprofessional at all...just less than.

I think it depends on how you are using the medium and to whom you are making connections with. How would you want them to remember you?
