Mr Howard at the airport
November 10th, 2005

When PM John Howard flies from one place to the next does he also have to empty his pockets, remove his shoes, take off his belt and parade like a criminal before entering the aircraft?

Thank you Mr Howard for helping to create the social and political environment that led to these appalling impositions upon all air travelers within Australia.

I did that all the time in the US, and guess what? I felt really safe!

    Hi Siva,
Perhaps the authorities in the USA are more friendly in comparison to the security personnel in Australia. Similar searches and inspections in Singapore, Taiwan and Japan are much mre pleasant and sympathetic. In Australia it is demeaning and most unpleasant.
    Cheers
